Jefferson Kent has been writing music since he was 14. He grew up in Barrie, Ontario, surrounded by music.  His mother was a classical pianist and his father played the guitar in a country music band. 

His main infuences come from the baroque period and his biggest love is the extensive counterpoint written by J. S. Bach. 

Jefferson writes mainly for piano and strings, as well as for full orchestra, and in the last 2 years several of his works have been arranged for synthesizer.
